YourSimSpot is a hosting solution for 3D virtual worlds for businesses, education, collaboration, and individuals based on the OpenSimulator platform. We specialize in providing the technology needed for these environments.

We offer hosted regions in the open virtual world OSGrid and as standalone regions, and are expanding to newer open base grids. We use the OpenSim platform which is an open source project run by a community of developers from many different companies, including IBM and Intel. OpenSim allows the use of Second Life compatible virtual world viewers and has the potential to become the server platform of the future 3D Web.

OpenSim is a platform for operating virtual worlds, and supports multiple independent regions connecting to a single centralized grid. This is somewhat similar to the web, where anyone can run their own web server, tied together through the internet. It can also be used to create a private grid, analogous to a private intranet.
